PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Service Technician – Commercial Generators to maintain and repair contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment. This role provides technical support to customers on operational aspects and works with on-site subcontractors as needed.

The position requires travel, on-site work at customer sites, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• Related military experience or equivalent field experience
• Must perform technical maintenance on generators and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with Automatic Transfer Systems and electrical controls

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects.
• Communicate status and issues to the corporate office.
• Coordinate with on-site subcontractors and manage field service reports.
