Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled Generator Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on standby generators. You will disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble components while documenting results for customers.

The role requires route travel across local counties, on-call availability, and adherence to safety protocols. A technical background in generators or diesel power and a valid driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years’ generator maintenance experience.
• Technical training in generators, diesel, power gen or related fields preferred.
• Ability to perform high-quality work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and services on generator sets across makes and models.
• Inspections, repairs, services and start-up load tests on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and service generator components including alternators and wiring.
• Write clear service reports and communicate findings to customers.
• Travel in a company vehicle to local counties and be on-call for emergencies.
