Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) seeks a Generator Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and emergency repairs on standby generators, ranging 8kW–2800 kW. You will inspect, replace components, test performance, and document service reports for customers across local counties. Travel in a company vehicle and on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years in generator repair
• Technical school training in generators, diesel, or power systems is preferred
• Ability to read safety rules and maintenance instructions
• DOT medical certification is obtainable
• Willingness to travel locally and respond to emergencies

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and services on generator sets across makes/models
• Inspect, repair, service, and start-up load bank tests
• Troubleshoot components including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices
• Provide accurate service reports and communicate findings to customers
• Maintain vehicle safety, inventory, and respond to emergencies
• Travel in company vehicle to local counties for on-site service
