Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for residential, commercial, and industrial clients in Florida. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting on a variety of brands and switchgear, while communicating clearly with customers and documenting work performed.

Travel will be required within local counties in a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Technical school is desired to include generators, diesel, power gen, electric power, relay, or substation technology, etc.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance: oil & filter changes, coolant checks, spark plug checks.
• Inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Testing: Load bank, ATS, and function testing.
• Troubleshooting: alternators, wiring harness, switches, switchgear, battery systems, engine.
• Documentation: complete service reports.
• Travel safely in company vehicle to local counties.
