Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a General Manager in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on maintaining the account per budget while meeting client expectations, fostering relationships with staff, guests, and the client, and integrating dining services with facility operations.

The candidate will lead the team, drive growth, manage interdepartmental relations, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance across the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 8–10 years upscale food service experience; 6 years in management.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision.
• Proven track record achieving goals per company/client policies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills.
• Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay focused amid interruptions.
• Experience in food purchasing, costs and inventory control.
• Budgets, flash reports, financial targets and forecasts.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and reports.
• HACCP knowledge and proper food storage/use.
• Compliance with health and fire regulations.
• Strong client relations and professional etiquette.
• Time management to meet deadlines; catering experience.
• Personal integrity and ethical behavior.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• ServSafe or DOH certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff meetings, reviews, and training.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Complies with local, state, and federal laws.
• Maintains food cost while upholding quality standards.
• Builds strong rapport with staff, client, and guests.
• Manages financial reporting, budgets, and cash handling.
• Analyzes trends in financial data.
• Oversees purchasing and inventory controls.
• Plans menus with chefs.
• Knowledge of HACCP and proper food storage.
