Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is helping a locally respected hospitality group in Leesburg recruit a hands-on General Manager to lead upscale dining and beverage experiences. You’ll drive guest satisfaction, revenue, and team development in a busy, guest-centric venue.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of leadership in upscale hospitality, strong P&L acumen, beverage program management, and a proven ability to train and motivate a cross-functional team while maintaining exceptional standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive hospitality experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role at upscale venues
• Strong leadership with proven service culture
• Proficient with POS, reservation systems, CRM, and spreadsheets; ability to train others on technology
• Excellent attention to detail and guest service judgment
• Solid financial skills including P&L management, forecasting, labor modeling, COGS, and inventory control
• Wine knowledge with beverage program management experience and vendor relations
• Private event sales experience preferred
• Certifications (WSET/CMS, ServSafe or equivalents) preferred or willing to obtain
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the vision, standards, and goals to ensure exceptional guest experience and profitability
• Lead daily operations, uphold SOPs and brand standards, deliver polished hospitality
• Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and manage a cross-trained team with pre-shifts and meetings
• Be a visible leader on the floor, coaching staff and resolving issues
• Maintain excellence in ambiance, cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the venue
• Coordinate operations across departments including bar, kitchen, retail, events, and floor
• Manage beverage program including purchasing, pricing, inventory, and vendor relations
• Drive traffic and loyalty through curated programming, tastings, events, memberships, and repeat visits
• Lead private event sales and execution from inquiry to completion
• Collaborate with culinary and winery teams on menu development and food standards
• Monitor financial and operating results daily to meet business goals
• Identify opportunities to enhance revenue, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol service regulations, cash controls, and inspections
