Job summary

Smashburger is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations, develop managers and team members, and maintain high standards of service at our Manhattan Beach location. You will lead staffing, training, and onboarding while ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include managing labor and costs, driving sales through local marketing, and fostering a positive, growth-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Restaurant General Manager experience.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Follow Smashburger uniform standards.
• Follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, and federal employment regulations.
• Must successfully complete Smashburger training program.
• Strong written and verbal communication with restaurant management, front line employees and corporate support teams.
• People management to develop and lead restaurant teams.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proven time management, consistency and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Restaurant Managers, Shift Leaders and team members to foster a high-performance environment.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, training and adherence to policies, food safety and procedures.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by modeling service standards and addressing guest concerns promptly.
• Manage labor, inventory, cost of goods and operating expenses while aligning staffing to sales trends.
• Drive success through team communication, community engagement and local marketing initiatives.
