Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in New Mexico seeks a General Manager to lead drive-in operations, train staff, and ensure top-quality food service and guest experiences. You will oversee scheduling, inventory, and compliance while driving sales through marketing initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in fast-food management, and the ability to work long hours including nights and weekends to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; knowledge of labor laws.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches drive-in staff, crew, carhops and skating carhops to meet service standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Maintains inventory levels and places orders within cost controls.
• Ensures compliance with labor laws and health/safety regulations.
• Resolves guest requests promptly and respectfully; handles complaints with supervision.
• Develops and implements marketing plans to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
