Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Shiprock, NM is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and develop the drive-in team. You will train crew, direct shifts, ensure safe, clean food service, and maintain guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, inventory management, payroll records, and developing action plans to improve sales. You will implement marketing initiatives and uphold Sonic standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business or restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a 5-day week with irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Familiarity with federal/state labor laws and health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic accounting skills and familiarity with computer systems.
• Ability to multi-task and resolve problems independently.
• Commitment to appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, and coaches crew, carhops and skating carhops.
• Directs and assigns employees to meet operational standards.
• Prepares work schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll records and employment documents.
• Resolves guest requests and reports complaints to supervisors.
• Interviews and hires staff to achieve proper staffing.
• Develops and implements action plans for sales trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
