Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Silver City, NM is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a team and deliver fast, friendly, high-quality service. You will train and coach crew and carhops, ensure safe food handling, and drive profitable operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of restaurant management experience, and the ability to work a 5-day week with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred.
• Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred); experience running shifts without supervision.
• Must work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; knowledge of federal and state labor laws and local health and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; effective verbal and written communication; basic accounting and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Prepares employee work schedules; monitors staffing levels and adjusts as needed.
• Maintains inventory; places orders for food, paper and supplies within cost-control procedures.
• Interviews and hires restaurant staff to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan; prepares operational reports and action plans.
