Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in New Mexico is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations. You will train and coach crew, ensure quality food, cleanliness, and a safe dining experience while upholding SONIC standards.

Promoting a customer-first mindset, you will respond to guest requests, help manage staffing, inventory, and costs, and assist with administrative tasks to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Manages drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory and food cost controls.
• Completes weekly inventory and maintains documentation.
