Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager I to lead one or more QSR restaurants near major venues, ensuring profitability, high standards, and outstanding guest service. You will supervise staff, deploy resources, and drive engagement and compliance with brand policies, health and safety regulations, and financial goals.

The role requires P&L oversight, operational expertise, and the ability to recruit, train, and develop teams while maintaining an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant P&L management experience
• 5-7 years total restaurant experience in a similar format
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for time-based experience
• Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
• Knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service, and operations standards
• Ability to read, understand instructions and menus, and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Open and close operations; ensure staff follow opening/closing checklists
• Staff deployment and scheduling to maximize profitability; meet objectives
• Oversee product availability, vendor coordination, and supply chain issues
• Maintain brand standards, training, and on-the-job education activities
• Manage day-to-day restaurant activities and resolve issues; provide feedback
• Ensure safety standards compliance and training for health and safety
• Report to operations leadership and coordinate rotating schedules
