HMSHost in Columbus, OH is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR operation near John Glenn Columbus Intl Airport. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed, open for business, and operates to high operational and financial standards, with P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, staffing deployment, staff coaching, interviewing candidates, onboarding/offboarding, monitoring performance and safety, and driving revenue through strategic initiatives while delivering

Qualifications

• GMIs must have documented and demonstrated skills managing the types of restaurants to which the role is assigned, with P&L responsibility.
• Typically 3 years of restaurant management experience with 5–7 years total restaurant experience.
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for time-based experience.
• Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of HMSHost policies and products, service, quality, equipment and operations standards.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Open and Close: ensure opening/closing checklists are completed.
• Staffing/Deployment: deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and handle scheduling.
• Interview candidates and manage hiring decisions; promote HMSHost as employer of choice.
• Ensure onboarding and off-boarding and compliance with badging requirements.
• Read and understand financial and operational data to monitor progress toward goals.
• Recognize staff and implement recognition programs.
• Ensure safety standards and health compliance.
• Report to Director of Operations and work rotating on-site schedule.
