Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or small cluster near Columbus, Ohio. The GM oversees staffing, opening/closing, and day-to-day operations while driving profitability and high standards. You will manage talent, coaching, and scheduling and ensure compliance with brand standards and safety requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L responsibility, and hands-on oversight of diverse operations, with opportunities for growth within the HMSHost network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years restaurant management experience; 5–7 years in the type of restaurant is typical.
• Graduation from a food service management or culinary program may substitute for some experience.
• Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close procedures; ensure checks and openings are completed.
• Deploys staff to maximize profitability and maintains P&L responsibility.
• Provides coaching and recognition; interviews candidates and promotes HMSHost locally.
• Ensures compliance with brand standards, safety and training protocols.
• Reads financial data to monitor progress toward unit goals and adjusts staffing as needed.
