Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division. You will own the division's operational and financial performance, manage field technicians, dispatch, and P&L, and drive growth.

You will motivate tradespeople, streamline workflows, and ensure safe, profitable execution of projects. The role requires strong leadership, CA construction knowledge, and a background in HVAC.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction projects or trades teams.
• Knowledge of HVAC and general construction in California.
• Clean DMV record and driver license required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership for the division, tracking costs and pricing to hit gross profit targets.
• Lead and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability and safety.
• Oversee dispatch, scheduling, and workflows to improve technician efficiency.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow maintenance contracts and market share.
• Handle customer inquiries and disputes, upholding the company brand.
