Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead its HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles. You will own the division's operations and finances, overseeing field techs, dispatch, and pricing to maximize profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to streamline field workflows, and proven experience driving revenue growth through commercial maintenance contracts and residential memberships.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in managing projects in construction.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Uses independent judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
• Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, scheduling, and estimating
• Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with many different people inside and outside of the company

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: manage the division's budget and hit gross profit targets.
• Team leadership: recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Act as final point of escalation for customer inquiries and disputes.
