Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles.

You will own the division’s operational and financial success, overseeing field technicians, dispatch, and P&L management, while driving safety, productivity, and growth. The role requires proven leadership in trades, strong communication, and the ability to optimize field workflows and profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction; or bachelor’s degree in construction science or related fields; or an equivalent certification combined with experience, and education preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in the HVAC and general construction trades.
• California Driver License, with clean DMV record.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Strong typing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel Software programs.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required.
• Familiarity with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, track labor and material costs, and price models to hit gross profit targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability and safety.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize callbacks.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer Relations: Serve as escalation point for inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation.
