Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles. You will own the division's P&L, manage field operations, and drive profitability while scaling revenue.

The role requires strong leadership of field technicians, dispatch, and office staff, with a focus on safety and quality craftsmanship. The ideal candidate has HVAC/construction experience, a California driver license, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of construction project management experience or a related degree
• Extensive HVAC and general construction knowledge
• California Driver License with clean DMV record
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Flexible schedule with overtime and weekends as required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: manage division budget, track costs, set pricing to hit gross margin targets
• Team Leadership: recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff
• Operational Excellence: oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency
• Business Growth: develop sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share
• Customer Relations: be the final escalation point for inquiries and disputes
