Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles. You will own the division’s operations, budgeting, and profitability while guiding growth and customer relationships.

Focus on optimizing field workflows, dispatch, and safety compliance. A strong leader with a track record in construction trades and P&L management is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in managing projects in construction or equivalent certification with experience and education preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Judgment and discretion in prioritizing and managing situations
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
• Familiarity with computers and software for job costing, scheduling, and estimating
• Ability to be flexible, decisive, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinate several major activities at once and maintain relationships inside and outside the company
• Licensing: Journeyman/Master Plumber license is a major plus, strong business background will be considered
• Background check and drug screen required

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: manage division budget, track costs, implement pricing to hit gross margin targets.
• Team Leadership: recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability and safety.
• Operational Excellence: oversee dispatching, scheduling, and workflows to maximize technician efficiency.
• Business Growth: develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer Relations: act as escalation point for inquiries and disputes to protect brand reputation
