Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division in Los Angeles. You will own the division’s operational and financial success, overseeing field technicians, dispatch, and P&L management, while driving safety and profitability.

You will recruit and mentor licensed plumbers and staff, optimize workflows, and implement growth strategies to expand commercial maintenance contracts and residential memberships. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing projects in construction; or bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification with experience.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with a clean DMV record
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to work in a team and use independent judgment
• Willing to work flexible schedule, overtime and weekends
• Familiar with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple major activities simultaneously

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership: manage division budget, costs, and pricing to hit gross margins.
• Team leadership: recruit, train, and mentor plumbers and office staff.
• Operational excellence: oversee dispatch, scheduling, and job workflows.
• Business growth: develop strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer relations: serve as escalation point for inquiries and disputes.
