Food Management Search, Inc. seeks a General Manager to lead our HVAC/plumbing division, owning day-to-day operations, P&L, safety, and growth.

You will manage field technicians, dispatch, and customer relations while developing sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share in California. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, a relevant degree or equivalent certification, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of experience managing projects in construction or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in construction science or related field; or an equivalent certification
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC and general construction
• California Driver License with clean DMV record
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel software
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends as required
• Familiarity with job costing, scheduling, and estimating software

• P&L Ownership: Manage the division's budget, track labor and material costs, and implement pricing models to hit gross profit margins.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor licensed plumbers, apprentices, and office staff; foster accountability, safety, and craftsmanship.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize technician efficiency and minimize call-backs.
• Business Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts, residential membership plans, and market share.
• Customer Relations: Serve as the escalation point for inquiries and disputes to protect the brand.
