Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC seeks a General Manager to own the HVAC/plumbing division's operations and profitability in Los Angeles. You will lead field teams, manage budgets, and drive growth through strategic pricing and contracted services.

You'll oversee dispatch, scheduling, and safety, while building strong client relationships and ensuring exceptional workmanship across residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction science or related field, or equivalent certification with experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and work experience in HVAC and general construction.
• California Driver License with clean DMV record.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; ability to use job costing, scheduling, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• P&L Ownership: Manage budgets, track costs, implement pricing strategies to hit gross margin targets.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor plumbers, apprentices, and office staff.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee dispatching, scheduling, and job workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Business Growth: Develop sales strategies to expand maintenance contracts and market share.
• Customer Relations: Escalation point for inquiries and project disputes; protect brand reputation.
