Job summary

Nautilus Restaurant in Boston’s Seaport is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead our front-of-house team. This role focuses on ownership of the dining room’s performance, guest experience, and staff development in a fast-paced, high-energy setting on the waterfront.

You will drive daily operations, coach leaders, and partner with culinary and beverage teams to deliver exceptional hospitality while managing schedules, budgets, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of restaurant management experience including senior leadership responsibilities.
• Love hospitality and leading a team, with ability to coach and motivate.
• Exceptional communication skills and accountability.
• Experience with high-touch clientele and operational leadership.
• Strong organizational skills, ownership mindset, and adaptability.
• Solid understanding of restaurant financials, labor management, scheduling and ops.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations on the floor to ensure smooth service.
• Mentor FOH management, set clear expectations, and ensure accountability.
• Oversee FOH scheduling, staffing, reservations, and service organization.
• Lead hiring, training, and employee development with a strong team culture.
• Maintain service standards and operating procedures through coaching and training.
• Provide constructive feedback and address performance issues fairly.
• Collaborate with culinary/beverage teams for seamless service.
• Participate in financial reporting, budgeting, and planning.
• Oversee facility standards, repairs, and seasonal changes.
