Job summary

American YouthWorks is seeking an Integrated GED and Vocational Certification Support Instructor at the Taylor, Texas site. You will deliver GED preparation, digital literacy, and workforce readiness instruction, connecting academics to workplace skills and regional opportunities.

You will monitor participant progress, provide individualized support, and collaborate with career pathways staff to align activities with credential attainment and employment goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Two years of instruction/adult education experience.
• Experience teaching youth or young adults and tracking progress.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GED preparation, digital literacy, and vocational certification support.
• Monitor participant progress and provide individualized learning support.
• Develop lesson plans and connect academic concepts to workplace skills.
• Coordinate with Career Pathways and vocational staff to align activities with goals.
• Maintain records and documentation of participant progress and credential attainment.
