Job summary

Insights Training Group LLC at the Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center in Kentucky is seeking an Academic Instructor. You will design and deliver lessons in Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Employability Skills, Health Education, Driver’s Education or GED to help students overcome specific difficulties and succeed.

The role requires collaboration with Career Technical Education instructors, maintaining student folders and records, and supporting graduation exercises, while modeling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education from a four-year college or university.
• Certified to teach in State of KY; valid Kentucky State Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 1–2 years related experience in education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business material.
• Familiarity with classroom instruction across Reading, Math and GED.

Responsibilities

• Instructs Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Employability Skills, Health Education, Driver’s Education or GED.
• Promotes a positive classroom atmosphere and motivates students.
• Maintains discipline to maximize learning and establishes rapport with students.
• Coordinates curriculum development with CTE instructors.
• Keeps student records, attendance, scores and evaluations; reports daily attendance.
• Supports quarterly graduation exercises and adheres to safety practices.
