Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an experienced GCS Operations Manager to lead 24/7 gas and chemical supply operations, oversee CCR shifts, IRP, and planning teams. You will coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and vendor teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and world-class safety performance.

The role emphasizes leading multiple teams, implementing lean improvements, and delivering risk-controlled operations aligned with corporate safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in facilities or semiconductor manufacturing.
• 4+ years of experience leading technical teams in a large-scale manufacturing environment.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the group to executives (internal and external).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of gas and chemical systems through CCR teams.
• Develop IRP team to support urgent field response needs.
• Lead safety initiatives and programs to drive world-class safety performance.
• Drive improvements in equipment and parts management using lean principles.
• Monitor alarms and system health; provide first-level response to issues.
• Represent the department to external groups and contractors.
• Develop and manage annual budgets.
• Support safety and quality projects to improve GCS performance.
• Foster learning culture and professional development within the team.
• Plan and hire to sustain operations for a new facility.
