Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Engineer TR, Gas Chemical System (GCS) to lead a team of engineers and drive safety and reliability across chemical systems. The role involves interfacing with operations, maintenance, and vendors to ensure high standards in safety, quality, and process performance.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 3+ years in related roles, with expertise in SCADA, SAP, AutoCAD, and process hazard analysis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• 36 months of experience in chemical engineering roles or related occupation.
• Experience in process safety and hazard analysis.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems for chemical process monitoring and controls.
• Proficiency with SAP and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of engineers in SAS’ GCS Department.
• Develop safety initiatives and drive world-class safety performance.
• Provide technical ownership for chemical systems and safety standards.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, construction, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and plan non-standard maintenance.
• Support commissioning and startup of new equipment installations.
• Drive continuous improvement to quality, productivity, and safety.
