Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a experienced GCS Design/Construction Engineering Team Representative to lead the design and implementation of specialty gas, chemical, and slurry system infrastructure. This role combines people management with direct project ownership across high-priority projects.

You will manage the team lifecycle, hire and mentor engineers, and oversee external firms while ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in engineering design and construction management.
• Industry: Semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing with specialty gas/chemical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the engineering team, including hiring, performance reviews and development.
• Direct high-priority design and construction projects from inception to delivery with external firms.
• Oversee external design teams, review drawings, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
