Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in Government Contract Services (GCS) to lead engagements across the government contracting lifecycle. You will manage workstreams, oversee teams, and deliver practical recommendations on pricing, cost accounting, and compliance for federal programs.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, strong regulatory knowledge (FAR, CAS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200), and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant work experience in government contracts, compliance, pricing or cost accounting.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, CFA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal procurement regulations (FAR, CAS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200).
• Experience with government audits and audit readiness.
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to clients and teams.
• Proven client-facing experience and ability to manage engagement teams (2–10).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong project/time management.
• Willingness to travel and drive when required.
• Experience with indirect rate models and cost accounting changes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support government contracting lifecycle engagements for clients.
• Supervise workstreams and team members; analyze financial/operational data.
• Develop practical recommendations for compliance, pricing, and cost accounting.
• Assist clients with audit responses, control improvements, and regulatory interpretation.
• Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and practice development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client value.
