Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a GCS Design/Construction Engineering Team Representative to lead the design and implementation of our specialty gas, chemical, and slurry system infrastructure on an on-site basis in Austin, TX. You will oversee a portfolio of high-priority projects, hire and mentor staff, and collaborate with external engineering firms through design to handover.

The role requires 7+ years in high-purity environments, strong leadership, and experience with AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in engineering design and construction management.
• Extensive semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing experience focusing on specialty gas and chemical distribution.

Responsibilities

• Performance Management: Establish KPIs and performance goals for the engineering team; conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Administrative Oversight: Manage timecards, expense reports, and resource allocation.
• Talent Acquisition: Lead hiring for new engineering talent, including interviewing and onboarding.
• Mentorship: Foster continuous learning and technical growth within the team.
• Technical Project Lead: Manage high-priority design and construction projects from inception to delivery.
