Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring a Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Controls Engineer to manage, maintain and enhance Industrial Control Systems for gas and chemical processes at the Austin site. You will coordinate startup and commissioning, review vendor packages, and work with Equipment Engineering and Operations teams on control systems for chemical, gas, and slurry operations.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 2 years in controls/automation, and

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of controls/automation experience.
• Ability to program PLC and HMI and understand electro-mechanical sensors.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning of Gas, Chem and Slurry systems.
• Support SCADA integration for equipment monitoring.
• Inspect SL1 and SL2 equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure Samsung standards are met.
