Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. in the United States (Los Angeles) is seeking a Gateway Specialist to manage and coordinate shipments within a HUB environment, ensuring efficient freight movement and regulatory compliance.

You will consolidate shipments, book space with carriers, track AWBs, and communicate status to suppliers and customers while maintaining high service levels in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience handling air export shipments or freight forwarding
• Experience in gateway/HUB operations preferred
• Knowledge of US export compliance is a plus
• Cargowise (C1) experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Process and close MAWB for consolidations and back-to-back AWBs.
• Book space with carriers and ensure MAWBs are rated correctly.
• Track AWB and provide COB information to branches; update customers/agents.
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients, manage delays and status updates.
• Filing, maintaining documents, and updating carrier/vendor rates.
