Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a Gateway Supervisor to lead our Los Angeles gateway operations. You will manage daily import/export activities across air, ocean, and land gateways, ensuring timely clearance, efficient routing, and strong cost control.

You will supervise warehouse and admin teams, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance with international trade regulations. The role requires 8 years in freight forwarding with leadership experience and strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 8 years in freight forwarding with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of air, ocean, and land freight forwarding processes including customs clearance and documentation.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficient in freight forwarding software and MS Office; excellent communication and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee import/export operations across air, ocean, and ground gateways.
• Ensure timely clearance and movement of shipments; optimize routing to meet delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate freight consolidation, deconsolidation, and cargo handling for efficiency and cost control.
• Lead gateway staff and administrative teams to achieve operational targets.
• Develop KPIs and monitor performance; conduct staff training on processes and systems.
