Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. is seeking an Import Agent - Gateway in Torrance, CA to support inbound air freight processing.

The role involves breaking down consolidated shipments, verifying MAWB/HAWB data, and entering accurate information into internal systems while coordinating with drivers, operations and documentation teams to ensure smooth gateway operations. The position emphasizes documentation accuracy, timely file setup, and proactive issue escalation within a hybrid office

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of import department experience in a freight forwarder or customs broker.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Break down consolidated import air freight shipments and verify MAWB/HAWB data against documents.
• Enter shipment data into internal systems and assist with setup and documentation.
• Track inbound shipments and update systems for visibility and exception handling.
• Identify discrepancies in documentation, counts or arrival details and escalate to supervisors.
