Job summary

This role ensures the efficient movement of freight by consolidating shipments, optimizing routing, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. The specialist maintains clear communication with all stakeholders, providing timely updates while delivering exceptional service to both suppliers and customers. Additionally, they uphold quality standards, resolve logistical challenges, and contribute to seamless operational workflows.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** The Air Gateway specialist will process and close MAWB for consolidations and back-to-back AWB’s.* Ensure that file contains all necessary documents and copies are in proper sequence.* To do what it takes to meet and exceed Internal and External customers’ defined needs and expectations.* Book space with carriers.* Ensure all MAWBs are rated correctly.* Obtain spot codes on all special negotiated rates with carriers* Enter spot rates and codes in C1.* Track AWB and provide COB information to the respective branches.* Research on all CCA, weight and rate discrepancies sent by carriers.* Filing of files.* Perform other duties as needed or requested.* Manage/update carrier/vendor rates. Obtain spot rates when necessary.* Communicate/correspond with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner.
