Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safety & Security agent in Portland to protect people and assets across the site. You’ll patrol gates, scan vehicles, and enforce ingress/egress procedures with the SAS App and RFID tech.

You’ll stay sharp with first aid, CPR, and AED training and respond quickly to emergencies while collaborating with Inspection Center and Logistics teams. A strong service ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras using the Unified Security Platform and investigate alerts.
• De-escalate, partner with others, and act decisively during incidents.
• Run point at the gate using the Safe & Secure App (SAS App) and RFID tech.
• Manage and document vehicle movement through inspection center gates.
• Get trained and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED and use when needed.
• Know emergency protocols cold to respond quickly.
• Keep the site operational in all weather and conditions.
• Drive a safety-first culture by conducting safety audits and trainings.
• Scan thousands of vehicles daily to ensure accurate tracking.
