Job summary

Carvana in Portland, OR is seeking a Safe and Secure Associate to help protect people, assets, and inventory at our facility. You will enforce procedures at gates, monitor CCTV, and support badge creation with strong observation and communication.

The role is full-time with a 3pm-11:30pm Tue-Sat schedule, offering competitive hourly pay, benefits, and 401(k) matching. You must be 18+, able to lift up to 60 lb, and ready to join a growing safety team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven track record of strong decision-making in a complex environment
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way

Responsibilities

• Manage and properly document the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrance and exit gates
• Be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and visitors
• Lead with effective communication with team, partners, and customers
• Conduct routine patrols of the Inspection Center and Logistics facility
• Become trained on life saving measures such as first aid, CPR, and AED
• Partner with team leads to remedy requests for badge creation, CCTV review, etc.
• Promote incident-ready focus and follow Incident Response Protocol
• De-escalate situations while upholding Carvana values
• Execute Safe and Secure Principles at entrances/exits
• Utilize Safe and Secure App (SAS) and RFID technology
• Deliver a service-first approach in everything you do
