Carvana in California is seeking a Safe and Secure Associate to protect people, property, and assets at our facility. The role focuses on gate security, incident response, and strong customer-facing communication.

The position is full‑time, with an hourly pay of $19 and a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM Friday–Tuesday schedule. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and various perks to support your well‑being and career growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven track record of strong decision‑making in a complex environment
• Ability to relate well with others and build relationships
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting
• Ability to handle conflict situations positively

Responsibilities

• Manage and document movement of cars at gate entrances and exits
• Be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and visitors
• Lead with clear communication with team, partners, and customers
• Conduct routine patrols of the facility and document safety concerns
• Get trained on lifesaving measures (first aid, CPR, AED)
• Assist with badge creation, CCTV review, and other security tasks
• Promote an incident‑ready mindset and follow the Incident Response Protocol
• De‑escalate situations while upholding Carvana values
• Apply Safe and Secure Principles at entrances/exits and use SAS App & RFID technology
• Provide a service‑first approach and contribute to a positive work culture
