Job summary

Carvana in Salt Lake City seeks a Safe and Secure Associate to guard gates, document vehicle movements, and uphold safety protocols at the Inspection Center and facility yard.

You will lead with clear communication, participate in incident response, and collaborate with the Safe and Secure Team on badge creation, CCTV reviews, and inventory controls to protect associates, visitors, and assets.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience within a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of strong decision-making in a complex environment.
• Ability to relate well with others and establish strong working relationships.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to handle conflict situations in a positive way.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center entrances and exits.
• Be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and visitors at the site.
• Communicate effectively with team, partners, and customers; listen actively.
• Conduct routine patrols of the facility; document safety or security concerns.
• Become trained on life-saving measures (first aid, CPR, AED).
• Assist with badge creation, CCTV review, and related requests with the Safe and Secure Team.
• Promote an incident-ready focus and follow incident response protocol.
• De-escalate situations; uphold Carvana values and teamwork.
