Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years related experience in medical terminology, patient registration, billing or scheduling OR three years of customer service.
• Proficiency in PC-based systems and software.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
• Experience with scheduling systems and insurance processing.

Responsibilities

• Validate and capture patient demographic data and insurance coverage.
• Coordinate scheduling for procedures, admissions, and appointments.
• Maintain provider and department calendars and communicate with care teams.
• Inform patients of arrival times and prep requirements per protocol.
• Assist with referral coordination and physician schedule management.
• Enter updates and changes to scheduled procedures and CPT coding.
• Serve as liaison with admitting and billing offices to optimize patient flow.
