Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a plant operator to run compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines across gas processing facilities. You will monitor controls, respond to alarms, and ensure safe, efficient operation in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in teams. Training, safety programs, and potential certifications are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain valid driver's license in state of residency.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication abilities.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Able to work in a 24/7 operational environment with shift rotations and call outs.
• Capable of reacting to high stress/emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain plant equipment and systems including compressors, pumps, valves, and pipelines.
• Optimize processing by maintaining proper product specifications.
• Respond to alarms and take corrective actions.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to achieve targets.
• Comply with safety standards and environmental regulations (PSM-SPCC-TNRCC).
• Maintain trainings, policies, and procedures; pass required operator certifications if applicable.
• Coordinate with control centers and other groups as needed.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities.
• Perform lab tests for quality assurance and diagnose mechanical issues.
• Monitor field compressor status via SCADA.
