Job summary

Energy Transfer in Texas seeks an experienced plant operator to oversee compressors, pumps, valves, and related gas processing equipment. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective operation within gas facilities and pipelines, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient performance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, the ability to work 24/7 shifts, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.
Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, timely manner.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain plant equipment and systems in a reliable and efficient manner.
Seek to optimize processing through facility by maintaining proper product specifications.
Respond to alarms and problems within the plant and take corrective measures.
Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and levels to achieve desired operating results.
Maintain and adhere to trainings, policies, and procedures; ensure compliance with safety standards (PSM-SPCC-TNRCC).
Coordinate with control centers, business groups, and third-party contractors; oversee work by others.
