Job summary

Energy Transfer in Oklahoma is seeking a plant operator to run compressors, pumps, and related gas processing equipment across gas facilities and pipelines. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective operation and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
0–2 years (Level C) or 2–4 years (Level B) or 4+ years (Level A) in relevant industry experience.
Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment with shift rotations.
Willingness to pass safety and regulatory trainings.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, and maintain plant equipment and systems including cryogenic plants and compressors.
Seek to optimize processing by maintaining proper product specifications.
Respond to alarms and take corrective measures.
Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow, and levels to achieve operating targets.
Maintain compliance with environmental standards and reporting (PSM-SPCC-TNRCC).
Participate in safety programs and coordinate with control centers as needed.
Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities.
May perform lab tests for quality assurance and assist other staff.
May monitor field compressor status via SCADA and perform LO/TO procedures.
