Job summary

TC Energy in Virginia is offering a Student Intern position to support field operations and learn how natural gas compression equipment and field maintenance are managed to ensure safe and reliable delivery.

You will work with experienced technicians, gain hands-on experience, and apply your academic knowledge while developing practical skills for a field technician career; relocation assistance is available and a structured mentorship program enhances your learning.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited mechanical/chemical/pipeline/automation or related technical/trades program.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start of work term.
• Returning to full-time studies immediately after the work term.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations while adhering to TC Energy safety standards.
• Assist with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment and procedures.
• Learn and apply safety protocols for field work.
• Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision.
