Job summary

TC Energy invites applications for a Student Intern to support field operations related to safe and reliable natural gas transport. You will gain hands-on experience with compression equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field procedures under supervision.

You will work alongside seasoned technicians, participate in site visits and inspections, and develop practical skills that support energy delivery across North America. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical, Chemical, Pipeline, Automation, or related technical / trades program.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027.
• Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term.
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations while demonstrating TC Energy's core values of Safety In Every Step, Personal Accountability, One Team, and Active Learning.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of natural gas compressors and related equipment.
• Gain hands-on experience using field tools, equipment, and operational procedures.
• Learn and apply safety protocols and procedures for field work.
• Participate in site visits, equipment inspections, and project activities under supervision.
• Develop technical and problem-solving skills applicable to a field technician role.
