Job summary

Burns & McDonnell’s Power global practice is seeking a project manager to support gas-fired power generation and related heavy industrial projects. You will oversee safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring client satisfaction and business outcomes.

The role requires leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients, procurement, and construction, and driving proposals and execution plans. Travel to client offices and sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience on construction project sites or program management in aviation, energy, or heavy industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime on short notice.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning and execution of Owner’s Engineer, detailed design, and EPC projects.
• Interface with client and project team to align objectives, priorities, risks, and decisions.
• Lead proposal development including scope, schedule, and staffing; participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop and implement the project execution plan.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and design efforts with discipline leads.
• Manage schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance with project controls.
