Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support EPC/PM teams from preconstruction through warranty. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, and client relations across multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7 years of construction PM experience, with strong MS Office and project management software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus 7 years of PM experience in construction.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance of project team and subcontractors.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and the execution of one or more projects.
• Lead planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and objective setting.
• Develop and manage client relationships for proposals and projects.
• Participate in risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
• Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Oversee project documentation turnover, permits, insurance, taxes, and bonding requirements.
• Coordinate and approve internal/external project reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver engineering deliverables per schedule.
• Manage contract administration including RFIs, submittals, RFI’s, change management, and closeout.
• Direct invoicing processes for prime and subcontractors.
• Mentor staff and oversee staffing, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and project closeout activities.
• Support government, industry, and public entity communications on project matters.
