Job summary

Enerflex Ltd is seeking a Service Technician I to perform basic maintenance on gas compression packages and assist with servicing, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of both gas-powered and electric-driven units. The role requires learning under supervision to advance to Technician II.

Expect travel, including nights and weekends, with on-call rotation and strict adherence to safety policies. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, plus basic computer skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years of applicable experience in service/maintenance.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and post-offer physical.
• Proficient with common PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Travel may be required to multiple states on short notice, including nights and weekends.
• Provide professional field service and customer support.
• Submit accurate field service, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
• Assist in rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field.
• Respond to recurring problems and emergency service as needed.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and start-up inspections of new units.
• Maintain and use diagnostic tools and equipment as required.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs.
