Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Service Technician I to perform basic maintenance on gas compression packages, learning from and assisting senior technicians with servicing, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning of both gas-fired and electric compressors.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, safety compliance, and the ability to travel across states for on-site service, with progression toward the Technician II level as proficiency grows under direct supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred.
• 1-3 years applicable experience.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own basic tools of the trade.
• Capable of monthly preventive maintenance and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Travel may be required across multiple states with nights/weekends/holidays.
• Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
• Assist in rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines, and controls in the field.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and start-up inspections.
• Handle mechanical inspection with standard tools and diagnostics.
• Participate in emergency service responses as needed.
