Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform maintenance, diagnostics, repair, installation, and commissioning of gas compressor packages.

You will learn from senior technicians, assist with preventative maintenance, and progress toward a Senior Field Service Technician role while working across sites. The role requires troubleshooting electrical systems, engine tuning, and supporting on-call emergency services with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical experience preferred
• 5+ years applicable field experience
• Familiarity with CAT/Waukesha engines and OEM software
• Experience on natural gas compressor packages and related controls
• CAT/Gas I, CAT/Gas II, CAT Electrical, Ariel certs preferred

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate field service reports and expense reports daily
• Provide basic leadership and training to junior technicians
• Diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently
• Provide input on personnel and materials needs for job planning
• Complete diagnostics and repairs of compressors, engines, and controls in the field
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and unit control panels (Murphy, Altronic)
• Perform engine tuning to optimize performance and emissions
• Support installation, commissioning, and start-up with supervisionless oversight
• Be on call for emergency repairs and travel as required
